Frequently Asked Questions
Shipping within the EU
For all orders inside the EU, VAT and shipping are included in your total. That means that no other fees, duties or taxes will incur. The exception is the EU territories outside the EU VAT area — Åland, the Canary Islands and the French overseas departments — where import VAT may apply.
The UK, Norway and Switzerland are outside the EU and may charge import VAT and duties.
Shipping to the rest of the world
All orders are shipped from Denmark, so import duties or taxes may apply. We ship these international orders on a DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) basis. This means that any outstanding import duties, clearance fees, brokerage fees or any other additional charges are the responsibility of our customer and have to be paid on delivery of your order.
If you return your watch, we refund the price you paid us. Import VAT and duties paid on arrival are charged by your country’s authorities, not by us, so we can’t refund them; you may be able to reclaim them from your customs authority.
Custom officials may request your Social Security Number / Tax ID. Where this is required the shipping company will reach out directly to you. We are not able to prevent this request.
How do refunds work?
If your purchase is not exactly what you are looking for, you have 30 days from receiving your order to arrange your return. To start a return, email contact@tangens-watches.com with your order number, or use the withdrawal form, and send the watch back within 14 days of telling us. Delivery to you is free; returns are at your cost, with the carrier of your choice. We refund you within 14 days of your notice, once the watch is back with us or you have shown us that you have sent it.
Please send the watch back with its original box and accessories. You may examine it as you would in a shop. If it has been handled beyond that — worn or scratched — the refund is reduced by the loss in value. The watch’s condition never removes your right to return it.
You adjust the bracelet yourself, and shortening it counts as handling beyond examination. If you return a watch with a shortened bracelet, include all the removed links: missing links or a damaged bracelet are deducted from your refund.
I have rejected the delivery, can I get a refund?
If you refuse to pay the import charges and the parcel is returned to us, we refund the price of the watch, less the return shipping and any charges the carrier bills us.
What warranty is included?
We offer a 3 year warranty that is valid from the date of receipt of the watch. We will repair your watch or exchange it if necessary.
What does the warranty cover?
The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. All our collections are water resistant to 10 ATM.
It does not cover accidental damage, scratches and other wear and tear.
Is VAT included in the price?
For all orders inside the EU, VAT is included in the price — except the EU territories outside the EU VAT area (Åland, the Canary Islands and the French overseas departments), where import VAT may apply.
For all orders outside EU, VAT is NOT included in the price.
Please note for our international customers (outside EU), customs, duties, taxes and brokerage fees may incur upon receipt of your order. Unfortunately, these fees are beyond our control, and it will not be calculated in checkout. We recommend contacting your local customs office for information regarding these costs.
Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa and Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Klarna. Your payment is reserved when you order and charged when we dispatch your watch.
